How I've Built Over 30k Followers On Social Media

I have built over 35k subscribers on Youtube in the past 2 years.

It may not seem like unicorn growth, but this was all 100% bootstrapped.

In other words, I do not spend 20k/mo on a content agency to help me.

As a comparison, the average Youtube agency charges 4-5k USD/mo for ideation and scripting, and that excludes the videographer, camera operator, or any equipment.

So for 99% of business owners, they are usually not going to commit to this from Day 1.

Which means... they may want to consider doing it the “Alice Way".

I've personally been able to build my Youtube following with a few simple techniques:

  • I started with an iPhone 10

  • I was consistent with posting 2-3x long form/week

  • I posted a combination of SEO based and algorithm based content (3:1 in early stages, now 1:3 in growth stages)

  • I post a combination of top of funnel, mid of funnel, and bottom of funnel content (3:1 in growth stage, 1:3 in selling stage)

  • I use invested in production value strategically

  • I built personal brand with authenticity, storytelling, and value driven content

Here are a few secrets re: Youtube

  • You have to stay in the game for long enough (consistency with long form posting) to realize the luck of virality

  • Production quality (cameras, editing, color grading), the way that you speak, the clothes you wear, the language you use, everything has a direct impact on the type of audience and clientele that you attract

Build a personal brand is one of the most powerful and profitable things that you can do for yourself and your business.

For one, you are able to charge top of market or premium pricing.

That means higher gross margins.

I’ve had many business owners (ex-investment bankers, PE firm owners, and accounting firm owners) that reach out to me because they want to build personal brands too.

I have been in masterminds with 7 and 8-figure entrepreneurs where "post content everywhere" is the blue ocean strategy.

If you're serious about it, you can change your life.

But content is just one piece of the puzzle.

Content doesn't directly lead to sales.

Content gives you a right to ask.
